Greece Puts “Killer” Missiles on the Border

Greece acquires a new strategic weapon for its defence after agreeing with Israel to purchase Spike anti-tank missiles. According to the agreement, the missiles will be manufactured by the state-owned company Rafael and will equip the Apache attack helicopters and gunships.

They will be placed on the border with Turkey and on the islands of the Eastern Aegean, with a range of up to 35 km and the possibility of precision strikes.

The deal also includes the acquisition of a large number of missiles, making the Spike Nlos a key weapon system for the defence of the islands and Evros. The acquisition of this new weapon is a reinforcement of the deterrent power of the Armed Forces and concerns the joint commitment of Greece and Israel to ensure stability in the region.

The agreement includes the acquisition of a large number of missiles that exceed 220 and fully cover the needs turning the Spike Nlos into a key weapon system for the defense of the islands and the Evros.

With a range of up to 35 km and the possibility of precision strikes from the coasts of the islands, the Spike Nlos that will be placed in the Eastern Aegean dramatically enhance the deterrent power of the Armed Forces.

The reinforcement at the land borders of the country will be similar, while the Spike Nlos with which the Apache attack helicopters will be equipped will be a nightmare for any target on the ground as well as at sea.
