Small Plane Crashes in Greece, Killing Pilot

ATHENS, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) — A small airplane crashed in mainland Greece on Saturday, killing the pilot, who was the sole person on board, Greek national broadcaster ERT reported.

The incident happened near an air club of Thebes city to the north of Athens.

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed yet.

Authorities are investigating the reasons for the crash. According to the report, early information indicates that the plane had a problem during take-off.

In October 2022, the pilot of a single-engine aircraft died in a similar incident near the same air club.
