The granddaughter of former King Constantine of Greece, Maria-Olympia, is said to be in love again, and only shortly after her recent split. In July, the first reports emerged that she wanted to split with multi-millionaire aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” Pearson.
Since then, the 27-year-old seems to be enjoying her freedom, but recently made a public appearance with celebrity British chef Thomas Straker. The two were spotted smiling in Notting Hill in London, leaving Maria-Olympia’s house and heading towards the chef’s car.
According to The Sun, an onlooker said: ‘They arrived together at the chauffeur pick-up location outside of the station. It looked like they might have both come on the Eurostar from London.
‘They stood there for a few minutes and were chatting and laughing a lot.
‘He then took his hat off and leaned in to give her a big kiss. After the kiss they parted ways.’
The 33-year-old maintains a very active presence on social media, counting 1.5 million followers on Instagram and over 2 million on TikTok, where he is charting a significant career path. During the quarantine, Thomas Stroker became famous for the butter recipes he posted on his personal accounts and on YouTube. Now he runs a restaurant in Notting Hill and is one of the most famous chefs on the internet. In fact, it makes its own butter with herbs.
He has a huge social media presence with 1.4 million followers on Instagram, 2.1 million on TikTok where he first found fame with his butter recipes, and 250,000 on YouTube. After cheffing at the Dorchester and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, he started making cooking videos in March 2020 when Covid struck and his restaurant opening was delayed.
His signature is blending ingredients into butter to create quirky flavours that can elevate anything from a piece of toast to a dinner party dish, and he’s credited for starting the #ButterTok trend. However, he became embroiled in controversy in September this year after posting pictures of his team of all-white male chefs at his eponymous restaurant Strakers in Notting Hill.
Critics questioned why the line-up of Straker and his seven other chefs outside his trendy restaurant did not include any women or ethnic minority kitchen staff, and he was accused of perpetuating the idea that top restaurants were ‘a white boys’ club’. Today, Thomas looked casual in navy chinos, a grey jumper and a gilet as he left the model’s home. Olympia, as she’s known, and Thomas appeared to be joking and laughing as they walked down the street together.
Last week, the royal looked somewhat glum on the solo outing in London. Maria-Olympia looked glum as she wrapped up warm for a stroll through Notting Hill, wearing a khaki jacket and an oversized cream scarf. She completed the laid back look with navy trousers and Adidas trainers as she carried a shopping bag.
Maria-Olympia split from Peregrine, son and heir of the 4th Viscount Cowdray, in September after three years together, however they had not been seen in public together in the months before their break up. Meanwhile Peregrine, whose family has a reputed £224million fortune and who’s been dubbed Britain’s most eligible bachelor, was snapped passionately kissing Sophie last week, just one month since her ex Joe Jonas filed for divorce.
The Game Of Thrones star, 27, also got cosy with the aristocrat, 29, at Stade de France prior to the Rugby World Cup Final match between New Zealand and South Africa on Saturday. Peregrine, who is the heir of the 4th Viscount Cowdray and has a family worth £224 million, has since returned to his £5million pad in Chelsea alone.
The relationship’s demise with Olympia came after a source said they ‘they grew apart.’ The only daughter of Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and his wife, Marie-Chantal Miller, has ‘unfollowed’ Perry on Instagram and deleted all traces of him on her account on the picture-sharing social media app. Friends began whispering about the state of their relationship when property developer Perry was conspicuous by his absence at the Chelsea-based model’s 27th birthday party in July.
