Greece and Turkey Have Agreed to Eliminate Risk Factors in the Military Sphere

OREANDA-NEWS  Greece and Turkey have agreed on measures to eliminate undesirable risk factors in the military sphere, according to the declaration following the meeting of the high-level cooperation council.

The parties agreed on measures to build trust, including in the military sphere, which will eliminate unjustified sources of tension and risks,” the text of the declaration received by RIA Novosti says.

The fifth meeting of the Supreme Council for Cooperation between Greece and Turkey was held in Athens on Thursday, chaired by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The parties have already signed a declaration on friendly relations and good neighborliness.

Erdogan was last in neighboring Greece on December 7, 2017.
