HFSF 2023 report outlines Greek banks’ green financing initiatives

The Hellenic Financial Stability Fund (HFSF) has just published its Sustainability Report for 2023, which includes a separate section covering the initiatives, actions and selected figures of the Greek systemic banks as well as the fund’s proposals for promoting sustainability in lending.

It highlights efforts to strengthen sustainable financing practices, emphasizing the integration of climate factors into credit decision-making and risk management processes.

This section also presents the Green Asset Ratios (GAR) of the five largest banks, the estimated aggregated financed emissions per significant economic sector and the financing of properties per energy efficiency score.
