Restaurant That Has ‘best Greek Food in Cambridge by Far’ Up for 2023 Uber Eats Awards

A Cambridge venue that some foodies believe has the best Greek food in the city has been shortlisted for the 2023 Uber Eats Awards. Tzatziki, a Greek restaurant and takeaway, has been selected as one of the nominees representing East Anglia.

The awards saw the public nominate some of their favourite local spots across the UK and Ireland with the shortlist containing a total of 90 different eateries. These represent the mostly highly rated and popular restaurants that each area has to offer.

Tzatziki, based at The Royal Standard on Mill Road, was founded by friends Nikos and Sukh. It is the only restaurant in Cambridgeshire to be included on the shortlist and receives consistently high reviews on platforms such as TripAdvisor.

The restaurant has hundreds of five star ratings with praise for its “authentic Greek food” and “fantastic service”. One person even wrote that it was “the best Greek food in Cambridge by far”.

Another reviewer said: “As a Greek away from home it was a breath of fresh air to find authentic Greek food. Give it a try, you will not regret”. A third commented: “Reminds me of the gyros from living in Lindos. I never do reviews but in this instance its well deserved.”

The Uber Eats Awards are judged by a panel with the winner being crowned “Restaurant of the Year” and given a £100,000 cash prize to invest in their business. All of the national finalists are also being offered £200,000 each.
